Terms of Use, in short
The essentials of what you agree to when you play Tideward. This is a summary, and the full Terms carry the detail.
Effective: May 1, 2026 · Last Updated: August 13, 2026
Manu Games LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company, United States
The short version
You buy the game once and it stays yours. Nothing you can buy makes your character stronger, Apple handles the money, and your save belongs to you.
Apple's rules come first
Your licence to use Tideward is Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, plus our Terms for the parts it leaves open. Where the two overlap, Apple's agreement controls the licence.
Apple is a third-party beneficiary of our Terms and may enforce them. Apple is not responsible for the game.
What you pay for
The game unlocks with a single, one-time purchase. It is not a subscription: no auto-renewal, no virtual currency, no loot boxes. Bug reports through the in-app form or our Discord get fast attention, and fixes ship free; small additions to the game ship free when they come.
Beyond it you can buy a few optional cosmetic items, a handful of profile icons and a card background. They are purely decorative. Nothing sold in Tideward makes your character stronger, faster or luckier, or grants any advantage in play or on the leaderboards.
- The full unlock is enabled for Family Sharing.
- The optional cosmetic items are not Family Shared, and apply only to the Apple ID that bought them.
- Apple is the merchant of record, and the price is shown before you buy.
Fair play and the leaderboards
Offline progress is measured against clocks you cannot set, and the game always credits the smallest reading available.
If the offline time credited to an account ever exceeds the time that has existed since your Apple account first downloaded Tideward, that account stops submitting scores to the Game Center leaderboards, permanently and on every device.
Your save, your progress, your achievements and your unlock are untouched, and the game stays fully playable. The check runs on your device and writes only to your own private iCloud, so we are never told the outcome. If you think it is wrong, Settings → Support → Leaderboard Access has your case reference and a private email link. We review every one by hand.
How to play fairly
Use Tideward for personal, non-commercial play. Do not reverse engineer it, cheat or exploit it, automate it, or tamper with its save data. Do not change your device clock to claim offline progress you did not earn.
Refunds
All App Store refunds are handled by Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue them ourselves. If Apple declines one you believe is owed, write to us and we will work with you in good faith.
The formal parts
The game is provided "as is", our liability is limited to what you paid for it, disputes go to individual arbitration with a class-action waiver you may opt out of within 30 days, and North Carolina law applies. None of that waives a consumer-protection right your own law says cannot be waived.
All of it, in full, is in the complete Terms of Use. Questions: legal@manugames.com.
